The girlfriend and I bought tickets at Ticketworld a month earlier. Got SILVER-As, which requires one to camp out about 2pm in the afternoon under the scorching heat just to get the front row on the Silver-A area - which is still far. Nonetheless, we were still super-duper excited!! As we've said, we're willing to look egoy if needed just to get a good view of the concert. sunburn!silverAs

Weeks passed by, until 030109, an idea popped up. Since I'm one crazy eheads fan, why not make a freakin shirt?? Like a tribute for their last and final concert! thus, this was born.

I just kept busy, until Friday 030609. It was an ordinary day, never expected something special would happen today - and still looking forward to the concert. Later that afternoon while i'm logged-in YM, my friend Perri pm'd me.

Saturday 030709.

I picked up the girlfriend at around 2pm. Which is kinda late coz we planned to be at the venue by 2pm so we could camp out. She even brought sunblock and an umbrella. how thoughtful ;)

But me, CHILL. drive lang ng drive.

Sherry suddenly realized she forgot to bring her red wayfarers. Bummed, and ranting SAYANG!ppicture-picture pa naman sana tayo suot ko yung wayfarer. (bratty face)

I just smiled and said, badtrip ka talaga?? di nga?

While on the way to MOA, she told me she wants to hold the tickets for safekeeping. I gave her an envelope. She jokingly said, Naka-envelope pa talaga ha!

She opened it. Pulled out to big-ass stickers that looked like concert brochures.

10-20 seconds passed. O, ba't parang ang slow mo? Sticker yan wag mo tapunin yan di yan brochures.

She saw the heading that said. Front of house Sponsor VIP
She was smiling and laughing and can't believe that it was fo'real foshizzle,my bizzle dizzle. yeahwhatever.

VIP = tears of joy (may tissue pa siyang hawak)

and the rest was history!!

I will never ever wash this shirt coz the sticker/tix will be torn.

Please pray to our Lord God, Jesus for the healing of my friend Janica. She had an accident last Wednesday. She was struck by a speeding vehicle and caused her falling into a coma. Doctors says that there is no immediate medicine/cure for her current state so let us pray that God may step in to help her.


PRAY PRAY PRAY til your knees hurt.

the whole story:

Last Wednesday, Nica was at her class trip going to Vigan. On a stop-over, she was crossing the street with her friends in Urdaneta, Pangasinan, when she was hit by a rushing vehicle. She suffered head injuries and was complaining of difficulty in breathing. She was initially conscious going to the local hospital. But later, she became unconscious and fell into coma. She is still in that condition until now. She was moved to a hospital in Dagupan City. CT scan revealed that she had brain hemorrhage resulting from the accident. This may result to permanent damage to her brain, affect her memory and other body functions. Due to her condition, doctors disallowed her moving to a Manila hospital. Her parents and sister are now with her.

Let's pray that God will move in this critical moment in Janica's life; that He will bring healing to her body and restore her to her prime. Let's pray also that God will bring comfort to the family including her sister Elynne; pray that provisions in terms of different forms of support will be there for them. The doctor said that no medicine can treat Nica right now. But we know that where we are weak God is strong. So let's lift NIca up to God that He may work in her life and become her healer and restorer.

Feb 14. The most loved date by girls/women; and of course, the opposite for the opposite sex.

But hey! give loooovveee coz its BALENCHIMES!

The girlfriend and I went to Discovery Tagaytay to celebrate our 3rd straight Valentine date. The fact that we were going out on the day itself was plain suicide. It started off, 4PM went to fetch the GF. Burned an hour through. So I had a terrible feeling that this day was just not gonna be my day... or night. Then I, the brave ogre, went on! Surprisingly EDSA has light traffic. We passed by EDSA for about 30 minutes and we're already in SLEX. sweet(note:we came from Q.ave-Edsa.). The SLEX, despite those merging lanes caused by road repairs, was good to me. Yes, I want to say it in that way, okay? So PRAISE GOD!!!! We arrived at 7:20pm. not bad at all. Considering this was my first time to drive to Tagaytay with the girlfriend beside me, keeping me company. Thanks, love!

Dinner. The food was grrreeeaaatt!(kellogs style) The place was warm and cozy. There was also a married couple in their late 50s at the table beside us and the guy was like really praising the meal. WINNER DAW YUNG STEAK. orayt. And ofcourse, my date was the greatest part of the evening. yihee! It was Valentine's and restos usually give set menus for couples, but in Discovery, they gave it a twist, my dishes were different from my girlfriends. Same main ingredient, differently cooked. I'll upload the menu list in the near future, like tomorrow maybe. We also had sweet wine - made me sleepy. By far, this date was the most challenging one in terms of budget. But hey! as I've said, give love, It's BALENCHIMES, and its all good! It was all worth it!

Alas!!! we survived our way from Manila to Antipolo, the place was virtually hidden on a hill! Without my cousin, Lionel "the Lion" Hung, to guide the way, the girlfriend and I would definitely get lost in the woods, literally. Suggestion for the resto: Make BIGGER signs.

Pink Salmon with Rosti and buttered veggies.

Salmon with pesto-butter sauce on top. Their Rosti (which tastes like hashbrowns) is pretty good! One of the best fish meals I've ever tried.

the highlight of the night- Osso Bucco, AMIGO!(well, atleast for me)

Osso Bucco, or beef bone marrow in English, Bulalo in Tagalog and Sebo in my book , is a great and easy way to have a heart attack.
The tomato sauce was just perfect for the Osso Bucco, making it less greasy-feeling in your mouth. The taste was nothing I've tasted before, It was also good with Rosti.

We were thinking of having dessert, but our tummies said "NO." So we took pictures of ourselves instead.
